    Wow! Paying $900. directly to principal really whacks chunks off that mortgage, Good on you!

    We have successfully been adding $250/ month for the past 13 months. When DW got a raise and a promotion we revisited the budget and long term goals. One of the changes was the $600 additional for the remainder of 2015, and $700 additional in 2016 once the $100/ month escrow payment ends as we went from quarterly tax payments to annual so the bank had to catch up our escrow account. There are a few reasons for this, which I will blog about when I have some time. Hopefully we can continue for the foreseeable future, but you never know on other expenses that may pop up.
