Looking for CC Sign-Up Bonus

September 23rd, 2013 at 02:48 pm

I've ran a Google search for credit card sign-up bonus that requires a $1,000 spend. After 4 years we are looking to finally purchase a snow blower for to up coming winter season. With tax, the unit we are set on will just be over $1,000.

Any one have suggestions? It will need to be a $1,000 spend (or less) in 90 days, no fee (at least for year one), and can be for gift cards or statement credit. I have done pretty much all Chase cards recently. I would like a $250 sign up bonus.

Suggestions?

Not sure that there is one that exactly matches your criteria. Check out
Text is creditmatch and Link is https://www.creditcards.com/cardmatch/
creditmatch, for American Express Blue Cash Everyday offers. The Southwest Offer of 50,000 miles (from Chase) is back and you probably can get the fee refunded, but you have to spend $2K. Also look at Citi's Thank You Preferred cards.

    Good luck!

I don't think you're going to get $250 for spending $1000 right now. You can get $400 travel bucks for spending $1000 with the Barclays travel MasterCard, but that limits what you can use the points for to just airlines, rental cars and hotels.

You could get $200, no annual fee, if you opened two "spend $500, get $100" cards and paid half and half. Although I'm not sure you do that, I bet some stores would let you put half the purchase on one card and half on another. There are many non-Chase offers out there: BankAmericard Cash Rewards, Capital One QuickSilver, Citi Dividend (spend $750 get $125), and NFL Extra Points credit card. Check out creditcards.com for more details on all of those.
